NICARAGUA: Women’s meetings face police harassment

In Nicaragua, International Women’s Day meetings and flashmob demonstrations demanding an end to GBV and justice for victims of femicide were met with police harassment and repression, even though these were held mostly within private properties. This was in stark contrast to a government-sanctioned march, which took place without incident.
