NORTH MACEDONIA: Climate activists detained by police

Five activists in North Macedonia were detained by the police for holding what was described as a ‘guerrilla action’ at the Ministry of Environment in February, when they made handprints in red paint on the windows of the building. The country’s Fridays for Future movement complained that the police response had been disproportionate to this harmless action.
