HONDURAS: Indigenous and environmental defenders under attack

Honduras has long been recognised as one of the most dangerous countries in the world for environmental defenders, and sadly nothing happened in 2020 to belie that reputation. Leaders of campesino and Garífuna – Black Indigenous – movements came under violent attack throughout the year.
