INDIA: World’s youngest climate activist in action

Air pollution prompted action by the world’s youngest-known climate activist, India’s Licypriya Kangujam. In February, aged only eight, Licypriya completed a year of climate protests in front of her country’s parliament, campaigning at the head of the Child Movement, which she founded, for laws to address the problem of poor air quality across India and to make climate change a compulsory subject to be taught from an early age in Indian schools.
